What is 7-OH?
7-hydroxymitragynine (7-OH) is a naturally occurring alkaloid found in kratom (Mitragyna speciosa), though only in very small amounts. It is a metabolite of mitragynine and is considerably more potent at certain receptors in the body.
Based on preclinical research and user reports, 7-hydroxymitragynine is associated with strong analgesic effects due to its activity at mu-opioid receptors and is considered many times more potent than morphine by weight.
